Off to Benin!
A new Piles Solidaires operation begins and will come to life in the heart of the village of Gbabé in Benin for our 2025-2026 edition.
We're ready to light up all the smiles of the 1,500 villagers with our partner, Electriciens sans frontières.
This project will enable the 160 pupils and their teachers to study in better conditions, thanks to classroom lighting, Internet access and the installation of charging stations for solar lamps and telephones.
In addition to the school, all the inhabitants will benefit from an improvement in their daily lives.

1st edition 2015-2016 - Morocco
For this first edition, the aim of the project was to build a solar power plant with 96 photovoltaic panels to pump water from the village's three wells! The water stored in reservoirs provided the village with a sufficient supply of drinking water, and enabled it to develop a market-gardening activity that is particularly important for its food supply and the development of a micro-economy.
