What is a collection point?

A Batribox collection point is a place where individuals can drop off their used batteries for recycling. Located in stores, businesses, local authorities and schools, they play a key role in :

  • Preserving the environment by facilitating the recycling of hazardous waste.
  • Raising public awareness of the importance of recycling, thanks to the information tools provided by Batribox.

The efficient management of these collection points is essential to ensure the safe storage of used batteries and optimize their recycling.

Best practices for successful management

    Compliant / non-compliant batteries

    Batribox collects alkaline, saline, lithium, zinc-air and zinc-silver portable batteries (NiCd, NiMh, lithium, lead). Industrial batteries excluded.

    Equipment maintenance and replacement

    Clean your collectors regularly with a damp sponge. If necessary, request new material via your Batriweb space.
  • COLLECTION_blue

    Storage and removal procedures

    Store your collectors under cover. Isolate batteries in drums and ensure safe handling. Free collection for 60 kg minimum.

    Go to www.batriweb.fr and log in using your login details (email address and password).

    Make your request

    Select the collection, storage or awareness material you need.

    Validating your request

    Once submitted, Batribox will check and validate your request.

    Receiving your equipment

    After validation, the equipment is delivered within 15 days by our transport partners.

Batribox provides free collection, storage and awareness-raising materials.
Once received, position it in a strategic and visible location to maximize collection:
  • at the entrance to your store,
  • in the reception area of your company or school
  • in the lobby of your town hall.

Storage material should be kept out of the sun and away from humidity, in a suitable location.


Each request must be reasoned, adapted to your needs and your collection capacity, in order to limit waste.

How do I request removal?

    Go to www.batriweb.fr and log in with your login details.

    Select the option to request removal of full storage material.

    Add a deposit request

    Specify if you wish to receive empty storage material to continue your collection.

    Validation by Batribox

    Your request is examined and validated by our teams.

    Carrier intervention

    A specialized carrier will collect your batteries within 15 days.

    Download the BSD

    Log on to your personal space to obtain your Waste Tracking Form, available 15 days after removal.

Who can collect?

The Batribox network is based on two types of collection:

  • Micro collection, with over 32,200 voluntary drop-off points in mainland France and the French overseas territories.

  • Pro collection, handled by Batribox partner companies specializing in waste management or the dismantling of electronic equipment, which have significant quantities of used batteries in their operations.
